She specializes in counseling Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) and also runs a monthly support group for HSPs. She founded one of the first Transition Towns in the UK in 2007 and through this set up a solar co-operative to support local employment and entrepreneurship.
Cindy is passionate about nature and wildlife and trained with Joanna Macy as a facilitator of the Work That Reconnects programme to reconnect people back with nature, and themselves. She founded a local wildlife charity near where she lives to get people enthused about local nature and therefore be more inclined to act on nature’s behalf in the face of planning creep. Her aim is to get parity of esteem for the natural world with the needs of the build environment (mainly housing). This charity is now writing the biodiversity action plan for the whole municipal area.
